The Paulet Cognac house, founded in 1848 by Jean-Maurice Lacroux in Jarnac, is known for its rich history and connection to the Cognac region. Originally, the estate had vineyards in the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois districts while also purchasing large quantities from the Borderies.
In the 1960s, Paulet produced a rare 2-liter bottle of Cognac, presented in an elegant red case and featuring the 5-Star Red Shield, a true collector's item. The company faced difficulties in the 1970s and was eventually acquired by the Renaud-Cointreau Group. Despite the takeover, the descendants of the Lacroux family remained involved for several decades, although the brand is no longer in production today.
Throughout its history, Paulet Cognac used two different emblems: an initial coat of arms followed by a stylized image of their castle, often used in combination.
