This rare vintage Domaine de Jouanda Bas Armagnac from 1985 was patiently aged for 34 years before being bottled in September 2019, unblended and undiluted, in keeping with the estate’s artisanal traditions.
The Domaine de Jouanda, a family-owned estate since 1879, is located in Arthez d’Armagnac, at the heart of the Grand Cru area of Bas Armagnac. Covering 8.5 hectares of vineyards planted with Ugni Blanc and Baco, the estate is run by the Poyferré family, who produce Armagnacs of exceptional quality.
The unique terroir, composed of fawn-colored sands and clay-silica soils, imparts distinctive aromas and remarkable depth to the spirit. Distilled using traditional methods and slowly aged in oak barrels, this 1985 vintage embodies the authenticity and elegance of Domaine de Jouanda’s eaux-de-vie.
A rare expression of Gascon craftsmanship, perfect for collectors and connoisseurs of outstanding vintage Armagnacs.
