With the introduction of the XXO age category, Maison Prunier takes a bold step forward in the world of fine Cognac. Officially recognized in November 2018, the XXO designation requires a minimum aging of 14 years. Prunier is among the first to embrace this classification with an innovative approach, and the Family Series 001 marks the beginning of a new chapter.
This inaugural edition is a rare and masterful blend of two vintage eaux-de-vie from 1992 and 1996, both from the Fins Bois cru in northern Charente. Aged in the family’s traditional humid cellars, the spirits developed depth and elegance over decades. Each cask was sealed by a court bailiff, ensuring full transparency throughout the aging process.
The alcohol level was adjusted naturally, with no sugar or caramel added—this is a Brut de Fût, offered in its purest, most authentic form. Aromatically rich, floral, and complex, this Cognac is a guaranteed favorite among connoisseurs seeking rarity and character.

Production is extremely limited: only 500 individually numbered bottles were released, and this one bears the number 289.
This special Cognac was created exclusively for Mr. Dale Cooper and his vineyard estate in Geelong, Australia—making it especially hard to find outside of that region.
With Family Series 001, Prunier doesn’t simply comply with a new standard—it elevates it. This release is a tribute to generations of savoir-faire and a testament to the house’s ongoing commitment to innovation, purity, and excellence.
